Dean is a highly experienced elite sports performance professional, with the rare combination of coaching and co-ordination skills. He has the ability to move along the coaching-management continuum, functioning effectively either as a coach or performance director.
As a performance director, Dean has been a creator and coordinator of multi-faceted elite sport performance enhancement programs, but one who never loses sight of the importance of maintaining the connection with the playing squad through coaching.
As a coach, his success is based on in-depth understanding of sports science - he is currently completing a PhD in the subject, has published many papers, and is sought after to speak at international conferences - combined with expertise in human engagement to get the best out of individual players and athletes.
