Eric Giza, MD, is a Professor and Chief of the Foot and Ankle Service at UC Davis Department of Orthopaedics in Sacramento, CA. He is the co-director of the UC Davis/Reno Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Fellowship.

The UC Davis Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgery Service mission is to provide Sacramento and Northern California with the highest quality of care for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of foot and ankle injuries. The service provides the UC Davis medical students, Orthopaedic Surgery residents and fellows with the comprehensive knowledge of Foot & Ankle Surgery needed for board examinations and clinical practice. Moreover, the service provides the surrounding communities with a tertiary referral center such that the UC Davis Medical Center will continue to be recognized as a cornerstone of treatment for complex foot and ankle maladies.

Active committee-level participation in national and international societies such as the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) is paramount to maintain the mission stated above.
