Dr. Adam Castricum is a Sports and Exercise Physician who consults at Axis Alpine Sports Medicine Specialists, Queenstown & virtually at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre, Melbourne. Prior to his recent move to NZ Adam was the Chief Medical Officer for Athletics Australia (attending 2 Olympics, 3 World Champs, and 2 Commonwealth Games), worked with the Hawthorn AFL Team and most recently was Event Doctor for the Ironman World Champs in Kona, Hawaii. His areas of interest include athletics, all codes of football, triathlon, alpine skiing, lower limb injuries, exercise prescription, adolescent injuries, fatigue in athletes, ultrasound guided interventions and exercise-induced asthma.
