Professor Craig Purdam

One of Australia’s most decorated physiotherapists, Craig Purdam is the retiring deputy director of athlete services and the head of physical therapies at the Australian Institute of Sport. In 2009 he was awarded specialist status in sports physiotherapy through Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. Craig is an adjunct professor of the University of Canberra with over 40 years clinical experience and has attended five Olympic Games as a primary physiotherapist. Craig’s major clinical and research interests are in the fields of tendonopathy, chronic hamstring injury and tissue loading mechanisms.
